Update:
Quotes - For my homies in Compton
Due to a lot of positive feedback, I'm going to attempt to update more often. The blacklight is glaring, DJ Krush is blaring, and I'm.... updating. Spring Break was pretty fun overall, if a little hazy. We made some new friends around here and many of them seem to show up frequently to partake in what Peter, Jono & I are best known for. Then they leave. I hung out with Jeff at UNT Thursday then Jay Ben & the Lou on Friday and we saw Resident motherfucking Evil. It was pretty tight, but if they had asked us for pointers it would've been better. It was almost like they only played the beginning and end of the game. Being in Hachie was boring as phuck, naturally, and even moreso than usual because I left my puter and stereo in Austin. I mean, doing analytical outlines of the Federalist Papers can only entertain you for so long.
I draw the following advice from the recent experiences of several of my comrades with Y chromosomes: always assume the answer to the question "does she want to sleep with me?" is no until she is actually getting undressed with intent to bang. And my advice to girls is don't be a cocktease.
Midway through practice it started fucking pouring. Then it subsided. Then it poured harder and lightninged like hell and we all screamed like wee little girls and ran for cover. Banjo (Graze coach and Doublewide badass) is super paranoid about lightning cos apparently he saw some people get capped by lightning once. Lightning is usually wicked cool as long as it doesn't hit anybody.
After a brief glimmer of hope it turns out I will in fact be skipping the Kansas tourney so I can go to goddamned Waxahachie. My parents totally don't understand my frustration either. Something strange happens to many people when they hit a certain age. I think they lose their energy and passion for most things and are jaded by too much responsibility. This weekend my dad quoted (and apparently agreed with) someone as saying "If you aren't liberal when young you have no heart; if you aren't conservative when older you have no brains." That right there sums up my frustrations. I've gone the opposite route by shifting very far to the left over time. I find it difficult to believe my opinions have only changed due to the generally liberal nature of people at UT. I make a point not to argue about politics and religion and very rarely slip so my opinions have been formed mostly of themselves. I'm rambling.
I should do homework right about now. I love homework. It turns me on. I masturbate while reading Anthropology.
Flim by Aphex Twin is still one of my top 5 electronic songs of all time. Much thanks to Jordan for reminding me. Stop! by Juana's Addicion also rules.

Debauchery In a Vase   Thursday 3.14.02 12:09AM by Aaron |
I have to go back to hachie for the rest of SB unfortunately, though it might be nice to go home. I haven't been back all semester. Ehh.. Also, I'm pretty pissed cos I think my mom's gonna make me skip the Kansas tournament so I can go home for Easter. I didn't realize Easter unquestionably warranted my presence. I've hung around for spring break thus far because first, our ski trip plans fell through, second because I'm staying in Austin as long as there's fun to be had. Since all my friends are now gone I'm forced to seek fun elsewhere.
We hosted a badass tournament this weekend called Sintex and there was severe carnage. 44 teams participated and the wind was fucking insane on Saturday. We didn't get a single upwind all day but on Sunday it was better and we played really well. We put up a great fight against OU and we all reprazented. Saturday we had a badass party in the middle of bloody nowhere at the Rugby House. There was this 6 or 7 piece jazz set playing for like 3 hours and everybody just grooved forever. And we beat the hell out of everybody in boat races heheh. Except Marce got beat by a girl. On Sunday Jordan and Cristy and Allison came to Sarah's and I brought Maggie and Tina and it was pretty fun. I've just been pretty much chillin with people for the last few days. Today (Wednesday), Nikki was in town for SXSW and she didn't have a whole lot to do so we went any place we could sit outside cos it was fucking gorgeous. Mozart's is soooo bomb. Er, I mean something Buddyhead doesn't say.
Nikki is my hero! It was really awesome to see her and she's met so many damn band members and is gonna go on tour with some uberfamous bands and she works at a record label. And I have NO direction. I'm a CS student taking nothing but liberal arts classes. I'm useless. Ultimate makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something because I'm getting excercise. It'll be nice next year to be able to have friends really stay over. In the house we'll have plenty of space for homies visiting and I intend to take advantage of that. I have room for like 1 extra friend in this shithole.
I have nothing of content really. I'm not in the proper state of mind to throw down on an editorial or whatever. Get Hyper-Ballad by Björk, or just get Post for that matter. Also the song Motion by Sandra Collins.
Yesterday I downloaded and played the new Day of Defeat beta 2 and FUCK!!! it's cool. Certain circumstances led me to more sucked in by the game, and it's extremely realistic. And it's so much fun. They added a new machine gunner for each side that works best when mounted and stationary. You pick a corner and just wait for those loafpinchers to stick they necks out. They also updated the gfx and the weapons behave more realistically. It's just terribly immersive which is not conducive to my study habits. With that in mind, I'm going to go play, and be scared.

My Name Is Wepeel   Thursday 3.07.02 12:30AM by Aaron |
Matt sent out the pictures several days ago but I've been studying my balls off for three days so I haven't had a chance to post them. I had both roman civ and anthropology tests today and of all the days for no wizzeed to have found us, this is the worst night! The humanity... It found us every night since we ran out pretty much. Except Sunday I think. But anyway, the pictures.
Updates:
ETC - Graze Party (3.02)
Quotes - Just for shits'n'giggles...
Sintex is this weekend, which means lots of ultimate, no sleep, and a big badass party. Jordy & Christy are coming into town too methinks. It's all happening. A few new bands (most courtesy of Twot) are Morcheeba, BT, Soulstice, Deltron 3030, and DJ Krush. Check that shit out.
So the ski trip idea fell through. That was good while it lasted, but it's not an entire disappointment, because it preempted my disappointment of skiing little, warm New Mexican mountains after skiing huge, cold, amazing Colorado mountains for so long. But it would've been skiing! Shit. Take me skiing!!
After studying last night (and, I should mention, intending to return to studying) I discovered that the lvl 30-35 RvR area has been added to DAoC in the latest patch. My scout is 33. Scouts own in RvR. So much for studying. I got almost 1,000 realm points in one sitting. Unwary healers and spellcasters fell at a single arrow from my longbow. Oh my God it was sweet. We took on both enemy realms at once, too, which isn't easy and even not fun at times. Those Hibs are fucking cheap as hell, sneaking up on us when we were beating down the Mids. We ate their children.
I spend way too much time/money at Metro, but who can resist? Though I am tired of smelling like cigarettes.
BT - Running Down the Way Up
Morcheeba - Let Me See
Oakenfold - Gamemaster
The Pixies - River Euphrates
Radiohead - Worrywort
Björk - 5 Years
That oughta hold ya off. Deuce.

Close Your Eyes And Reinvent Me   Monday 3.04.02 4:15AM by Aaron |
Too tired to study but not tired enough to sleep. I've been listening to a lot of electronic music lately and it's wearing away at my roommate. He thanked me for putting on music with words after about three days of trance and house. It was the week of the Oakenfold in Mad House. After a long couple weeks (and another one ahead of some of us) we decided it was time for a cleansing by alcohol. Colin was buying and we were bout it bout it. The evening was accentuated and finished by several particularly brilliant Family Guy's none of us had seen before. Saturday was the GRAZE party, which was an intentional sausage party and it was a goddamned blast. I'll put up some pictures as soon as Brown sends them out. Apparently, his roommate took about 180 digital pictures in the course of the night, which includes wrestling and me molesting ed when he was passed out.
I'm up this late and I stopped studying at like 9:30 or something insanely early. Marce, Maggie & I decided to cook dinner at Maggie's and Marce had to go greet the Ladies returning from Florida so me & Maggie chatted it up for quite some time, which was very enjoyable. Talking into the wee hours of the morning with Maggs isn't like a girly heart-to-heart, which I can only take in sessions of 60-90 minutes max. It's just damn cool. I've convinced another chick that I'm cool.
I hit shuffle and next on winamp and everything in its right place hit me like a motherfucking brick truck. I forgot what it's like to listen to an actual band. Holy shit this is nice. I'm not even inebriated.
Get Cafe Del Mar by Paul Oakenfold. I swear it's good.
I could cook up an editorial or throw some more quotes in the ever-swelling collection but it's like, late. Oh yes, and Jay thinks he writes for Buddyhead. Nah Brah! Oh, wait.. shit. I'm glad to see Fred Durst and Weezer jokes will be added to his repertoire.
