Did I Break Your Concentration?   Monday 7.22.02 @ 12:56AM by Dr.Hooptie |
I scribbled out an editorial but I can't upload it for lack of space and I'm still debating whether to upload it at all. Much as it's based on fact and is as logically sound as one would expect from a person with my recreational habits, most people would read it and just get mad. Too many patriots with their blinders on, methinks.
Update:
Quotes - It's good for you
The quotes thing forces me to update regularly. If you tire of waiting in between posts just say lots of crazy shit I'll be likely to keep. I've got a lot of thoughts floating around in my head, some worthy of defecating in editorial form, some not. Considering I'm in summer gear - 5th gear to be precise - you'll be lucky to read anything worthy of print here.
I'm thinking more and more about politics lately, maybe because I understand it, maybe because I'm learning how to make you all my minions. I just read and hear so much bullshit in the news that I can't believe people buy it. I rarely see a newstory where I don't say "that's fucking asscrap" at least once. And now everyone's ready to annihilate Iraq. That's a great idea.. 50,000 US soldiers have died since returning from the last time we went there so I'm not too anxious to go back under worse circumstances. He knows we're going to topple him this time so he won't hold anything back which will kill a shitload of our soldiers and cause an outrage and escalation. Don't be surprised when it happens.
But I don't feel like ranting about global politics, I feel like making fun of them. I could do Travesty- and Onion-esque articles poking fun at things but that'd be unoriginal and most of my readers wouldn't bother reading them. Maybe I'll write for the Travesty instead.
Tool is Saturday but it's in Houston and our seats fucking blow. Ticketmaster will meet my wrath. Then on the 1st I have to actually move out of my big goddamn house that I love. It's hard to complain since I got to live in it for several years but still.. I like going home to that house and eating in that house and frying insects with the tennis-racket bugzapper in that house. The upside to this is money, in that my parents will have more of it thanks to a cheaper house.
Ok now my fucking eye hurts so I'm going to finish this while I can. Listen to Lamb and watch Pulp Fiction.

Oh to be a Crack Baby   Sunday 7.14.02 @ 6:00PM by Dr.Hooptie |
I'm sorer than an altar boy's... ohh I don't wanna go there that's icky. The summer league tournament was yesterday and we played 4 games and got 2nd place out of 16. Fourgasm reprazent!! Playing ultimate all day long rocked me. Sprinting for hours and hours is pretty rough. I had some sweet plays in the course of the day, though the ones I fucked up are most prevalent in my mind. I was happy, we played really fuckin good. There was an afterparty at Ri Jin's and it was pretty fun. They always have great beer at his parties; last night it was Ziegen, Shiner, and fucking Blue Paddle. I have a new top 5 beer and it's BP.
HT Skip's surprise party was Friday and that was even more fun than last night's party. We played schwag ball for a long time which has nothing to do with weed before you ask. They had good beer too. It's been a really good weekend and a great fucking summer. Mags & I gorged ourselves at Magnolia's today (it's our hangover place of comfort) and noticed that it's the first good summer either of us have had in years. I wonder why we always look forward to summer so much when it usually sucks so bad. Last summer was awwwful. Beyond bad. Now constant overstimulation numbs us, to quote Maynard. I'm not even sure what I did differently for things to be this way, they've just sort of fallen into place.
Update:
Friends - Rocky in all his glory
I think I'm gonna work on my archer's fletching skills for a bit. And I'm gonna learn some more Tool songs. Peace, Love, and Clap if you have gonorrhea, it'll help us all out.

DUNDNADNADNADNADNAAAAA!!!!   Tuesday 7.10.02 @ 12:37AM by Dr.Hooptie |
Oh yeah my birthday was Sunday. Don't feel bad! Everybody keeps finding out it was Sunday then they apologize for not calling me. If I didn't tell you when my birthday was or that it was coming up then I don't care if you call or whatever. I don't think it's necessary to expect anything big for your birthday after age 12 so I'm never disappointed. It's just another day.
I played pretty solid at summer league today but we just couldn't do shit as a team. We've lost way more games than we should have since we're one of the best teams. Bah! It's been fun though. You learn something new about Ultimate every time you play.
Keep an eye on the government. They've gotten kinda whacky lately.

I'm Strangely Comfortable With That   Tuesday 7.09.02 @ 2:29PM by Dr.Hooptie |
At least a half dozen times over the course of the weekend somebody mentioned that we needed to be filming whatever we were doing, and I admit regret at having not been able to document the many unique events. Rocky and Ben had some monster wipeouts when tubing and oh God the carnage of the Bridges' fireworks show. Anyway, first to what you actually give a shit about, then I'll get back to my mindless adventures.

Non-Ass Chapped - Three Things I Know So Far
So back to bullshit now. Rocky was in Hachie this weekend for the first time since the millenium probably so we had to find wiggity wacky stuff to do, like sieging castles and flinging each other from boats. Jay made a surface-to-air launcher out of a PVC pipe, pictures may be found here, and I'd just like to say Jay has fuckloads of free time. He's also gonna have fuckloads of melanoma. I digress. "Fun" or "Going out" in Hachie constitutes driving from place to place getting thrown then acting sober in front of the parents of whomever's house you end up at. Often times you just end up playing Xbox. What a world.
On the 4th I shot off fireworks with my family and some friends that were over, then we played with sparklers and roman candles La la la la la... Those things are underrated. We hung out at Jeff's that night and watched Family Guy cos his mom's a heavy sleeper. Friday was supposed to be a chilling event at Jeff's place in Denton but his cell phone sabotaged everything. We ended up sitting around a lot at various places. Again.
Jay lives at the lake so we went there Saturday (Me Jay Ben Lou & Rocky). I wish we had fucking filmed it! There were so many boats out that the center of the lake was just churning and frothing so naturally we ran whoever was on the tube through it at 40mph and sideways. Ben's extended redneck family spent over $3000 on fireworks this year. Most of what happened was easily predictable. They had three big buckets and a huge box full of mortar shells placed right next to the launching area and uncovered. Simple probability. With so many shells going off on the ground or 20 ft up there would eventually fall something flaming into one of the mortar receptacles. These people wouldn't flinch when stuff exploded in their faces and right on top of them, so when they yell "oh shit run" you better be behind something solid and flameproof. When that shit started blowing up we just giggled and jumped around like children at Disneyworld. After that they had a roman candle war and actually bitched when they got hit and got mad at the person shooting them with a FLAMING BALL. Rocky and I were the ones not participating and he pointed out we were also the only ones attending universities....
I've been sitting around a lot, watching less TV but playing far more DAoC. Shit man. I've got my main up to 38 from 34 a week ago. I hadn't leveled him since April or so. I'm also working on a fire wizzard plus my stuff in other realms. Fuck!! I can't stop. Rocky & I compared and contrasted EQ & DAoC all weekend and I was happy to learn that my game's better hehe.
I hope it won't be so long in between updates next time. If it is, yell at me to get my lazy ass out of Albion and write stupid shit.
