| My nerdly upbringing is being stretched thin. Today I seriously began weighing the benefits of upgrading my computer vs. getting a badass mountain bike. The nerd in me is furious that I'd consider anything inconducive to Warcraft 3 and Battlefield 1942, but the sportsman in me is distracted by the small but definite possibilities of future impotence and/or hair loss. Decisions, decisions. My car's still in impound and the towing itself was the prime reason my Saturday kicked ass. Fathom the irony, if you can. I spent $135 Saturday and only $10 of that didn't go to the towing fee. Kramer and I were walking home from Mag's when we hear "Kramer!!! Unnuahaa!!" from the balcony full of people above us. Turns out we knew these people. Free beer there turned into free beer at two other places. In the course of the night we discussed illegal drugs and drank in front of TABC painclothes people as they wrote tickets, tapped a keg at a party where we didn't know a soul, played volleyball-style schwag ball, and screamed at bikers and pedestrians at 4am. My favorite incident was Blake going to take a piss 'twixt two buildings that made a wedge corner like /\ that and he wedged himself solidly enough to hold him in place when he passed out. He was there for 15 minutes then after being liberated by somewhat-wary friends went back into action. He initiated the harrassments by screaming "Sluuutss!@!" out the window. If you made it through that useless story I'm surprised. I'm in a good mood now because my logic assignemt was pushed back to Oct 1, which means I'm done for the night. Fuck you fuckball! The words free and time so rarely appear next to one another in my mind and conversations. Solution: Counter-Strike. |

| Seems like everybody's been hittin the crackrock the last few days. Nobody can drive for shit and I saw these two Asian kids kicking a rock through a parking lot by the tower as they trundled by not saying anything. The newness of the semester has worn off, in short. Looking around in logic today, half the people had the confused expression of someone about to smash their head repeatedly on the table. It slowly begins to make sense to some of us but the rest don't even bother to put their newspapers down. Both my logic and cs classes are clearing out like a motherfucker too. As the last drop date approaches i'm expecting to have a lot more free space in there. This happens every semester. Explorer channel is so cool. So many of their shows give you this warm fuzzy feeling. They make it seem like the world works in some marvelous synchronicity and that it all turns out wonderfully in the end. Then the meerkat gets jacked by a hawk and your reverie's over. These guys can bring you to tears just watching shots of ferns in a forest through dramatic camera angles and powerful classical music. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster. And nature shows use to bore me. It's rare I say anything entertainment-related but Rosie O'Donnell is really getting into this lesbian thing. She got a wicked ugly haircut. So I have a Logic test tomorrow and for about a day I thought hari-kiri was the only viable solution but then I figured the shit out. Now I'm gonna own it. I can't say the same for my program due Friday... I'm gonna have Ultimate tomorrow. Christ. Shit. I'm worried. Update: Quotes - almost forgot When I have a decent amount of free time - namely, Christmas - I'll probably make some pretty large adjustments to the site. I have sections I never update nor have any intentions of updating and I have people in the friends section that I don't hang out with anymore. That was a dumb idea for a section anyway cos people are upset that they're not there (despite the fact that I have NO pictures of them) or I have to leave people in who I don't really see ever. I haven't seen Nikki, Sarah or Karen in months but takign off their pictures would be offensive to them I'd imagine. Scheiss. Seems like every time we get inebriated around here the conversation reverts to political discussions (that is, after the giggly period subsides). You learn just how stupid some people are by how stupid their political opinions are. It's not a perfect measurement but it's a decent barometer of intelligence. Some people just don't get politics though.. That's excusable. Logic seems to have soiled and ruined a large portion of my brain so I'm gonna cut off riiiiight here. |

| I haven't had internet for like three weeks and I swear I was almost in shooting-spree mode - naturally targeting the sick and old, if only to temporarily vindicate Darwin - because I haven't had the cathartic releases provided by Counter-Strike and Dark Age. I knew there was a reason I could sit for hours blowing up law enforcement officials with C4 and shooting fireballs at the living dead. I need it so I don't have to kill all of you to feel better. Don't run away, it'll only make it more painful. A lack of internet means a lack of means to receive crazy, crazy quotes, which means I only have a few new ones despite my long absence. Way too much shit's happened for me to a) remember it and b) type it out so I'll go with recent events. Update: Qu0t3s - d00d Not having internet isn't as cool as not having tv. It sort of frees you but it cuts you off from way more. I either missed out or was way behind everybody else on all things Ultimate since school started. Everything large and small is conveyed through email and I only had limited access to that on campus and at Jordan's place. I actually have TV but only on the weekends cos I keep it in my closet under bags and blankets during the week to increase the pain in the ass factor of setting it up. Jordan doesn't have TV and he can attest to the fact that TV is so much sweeter when you only get to watch it occasionally. It's mesmerizing, even if it's only Bush talking out his ass with a dismal NYSE ticker on the bottom of the screen. I read a lot, including non-school material. I'm almost done with the 6th Dune novel. I can talk at length and with eloquence about modern politics, religion, and economics. So I give two thumbs up to a lack of television. Sever your ball and chain. The guys from Roadrunner finally showed up the other day and after fiddling with my puter for a couple hours their brilliant solution was to either buy a new operating system (namely, win XP) or reinstall my current OS. That's like remodeling your house because the plumbing is faulty. The guy that came by today wasn't even as knowledgable as the first guys but he fixed it in 2 minutes by just replacing the cable modem. Now I can't help but think how many intelligent IT people I know who are unemployed as fuck. Concerts.... oh my oh me. Shadow will be here on the 3rd and I'm sure to have multiple orgasms in the course of the evening. Doves is coming soon and I've sufficiently spread that love to have enough people want to join me. If you haven't downloaded any Doves yet you've got to be retarded considering how much I've talked about them. You better do it now before they get popular and start to blow. Queens of the Stone Age will be along at some point as well as CKY. CKY is unfortunately at the bottom of the list of priority concerts. If there weren't so many bloody good bands coming through I'd definitely see them though.. It's a tough choice but money is an issue, and the issue is that I have very little of it. I didn't play at Sectionals today for many reasons (mostly surrounding my lack of internet) although I did want to play, but I fully intend on going to the after-party tonight. Otsuka said they played from 10-5 and had to be there at 8 and considering I was lucky to get more than 6 hours of sleep any given night this week I'm glad it didn't work out, because I would have fucking died. I was originally gonna do some homework today, haha. I should've known better than to plan on that. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention my new place. 23rd and Leon in west campus. Not an efficiency, thank God. I have a living room with the beloved hugebluecouch from the game room and I got some badass motherfucking speakers. Our street is like a big sidewalk there's so little traffic. This place'd suck as would living alone if I didn't have so many friends nearby and if they weren't over all the time. Anyway, it's game time. Whoo.. |
