Take It Easy

| I'm tired of everybody screaming war. Who are we gonna war on? The Islamic nation? If we keep fucking around that's what's gonna happen. Most countries from Morocco to Afghanistan have muslim majorities. That's a fucking lot of people to contend with should we manage to upset them all. On the other hand some morons want to just let the whole thing go. They think retaliating will only cause bin Laden's other cells to attack. They'll attack eventually and do worse damage if we let them fester, so why wait? If we get attacked and lose 5k citizens and then do nothing in return, that's called losing. On the subject of the threat of nuclear attacks, the only people with the balls to use them are terrorists. If a suitcase size nuclear weapon went off in a western city, the people behind the attack wouldn't have to worry about being nuked in return. If a nation launches a nuclear attack, the missiles will be detected and a counter attack will be launched before the first missiles ever hit. Therefore, we shouldn't fear nuclear attack from countries that display anti-American sentiment, but from the terrorists. No country would nuke another country because they know it would ensure their own annihilation. The main reassurance for everyone during the Cold War was that if they were attacked with nuclear weapons, whoever launched them would suffer the same fate, and that that would stop nuclear attacks from happening at all. We have no assurance like this when it comes to terrorists. I think all American-friendly governments should put virtually all of their military resources into rooting out the terrorist cells around the world. Don't think for a second the people that attacked us recently didn't learn a lesson. Their hijackings were staggered, and when air traffic was stopped it probably deprived them of the opportunity to hit a third or half of their origianl targets. Next time they'll know to hit all at once. All the people of authority are in major cities. If they spent all their time moving nuclear weapons into place in major cities throughout the US and Europe and then detonated them all at once, we would be helpless. The more I think about the possibilities the more pissed off I get and the more I want to skin the bastards. We need to hurry. Everybody wants to get bin Laden just for the moral victory I think. I think he needs to be caught and thrown in a prison where he'll be raped for the rest of his life, but I'm more concerned about the people he commands. The whole situation is fucking ridiculous. If people would just realize that they can't force their ideals on everybody else in the world we would have much fewer problems. To loosely quote Dogma, beliefs are what get us into trouble. Faith in a religion and standing by the morality and ideals it promotes is overall a good thing, but twisting theologies based on love into creedos for your militant regime is the extreme end of where religion goes awry. Resilience to persecution is impressive. I can't tell whether it shows real strength or real brainwashing. This is all material for a different editorial however. As I look at the map showing support of America vs. support of Afghanistan, I don't think the threat of WW3 is imminent. So far the government has handled the situation well and it looks like they've learned from history. As long as they don't do anything rash in order to appease the American public and the west in general everything should be alright in the end. All I can say is don't piss off the nation of Islam. They fight dirty. |
